Dive In: A Poem

In the depths of the unknown, I bravely dived,
Knowing that to love you is a raw ugly mess.
Your flaws sparkled like cosmic light,
Still, I chose to revel in your tender embrace.
With a pounding heart, I held you near,
Embracing every moment.
Unveiling truths, both shadowy and bright,
I cherished each day and each tranquil night.
But now winds of change have
Left me adrift in a somber display.
Craving a word, a sign, a gentle touch,
To mend the ache that hurts too much.
Closure whispers in the midnight breeze,
A balm to soothe my soul with ease.
Grant me peace, release this heart’s pain,
From the ties that leave such strain.
I knew loving you would come at a cost,
Yet I dared to dream, to reach, to exhaust.
Now all I yearn for is grace to end this chase,
And find solace in love’s warm embrace.
